This is a preview of the upcoming "Performance Mode" in FL Studio. As you can see the system works by adding clips to the Playlist as you trigger them. In a way it let's you d some "real-time arrangement".

Devices like the Novation Lanchpad will work great with this new FL Studio feature.

The moments I saw an iPad the thought came to my mind about it's music possibilities. Switching sounds is as easy as switching an app on the fly. Here's a demonstration by North Point Music. Yes they look dorky playing with their Apple gear in front of tons of people. If the device can produce music that's all that matters.

One of my first introductions to "performed" electronic music came in the form of the Electribe. My buddy had one for a while and he managed to get really good at it. Later on we saw the KP3 and saw the cool "touch" fx and sampling possibilities. Here's a neat track by Spiraltone demonstrating the two instruments combined. :)

I have seen tons of Tenori-On videos and most of them have weird sounds but not really a neat tune with drums. The video is a little demonstration by Pepemogt. It came out pretty darn good.

Last night tenori save my night!

I was invited yesterday to do gig in a massive event with The Hives, Chromeo, Flosstradamus and other live acts, i was invited as Latinsizer, so i prepared my self to do a Tenori-on live improv, and i did lots of blocks and lots of Sampling back home, and sudenly my SD card lost the info(long story), so couple of hours before i went to stage, i was at the hotel INTERCONTINENTAL (GDL) preparing my tenori set, just using the internal sounds, i really prefer my samples instead but in an emergency you have to use whatever you have at your disposal to save the night,
here is one track i did there just using the Tenori ITSELF, no SD Card, Just Tenori -on internal sounds and no external effects, just live improv ..
so i consider this tracks my first ALL TENORI-ON track.

Can you replace a full orchestra with just a few but powerful workstations? I think so. I like to look around music stores and one thing that never really clicked in my head was "Why would anyone buy a $10,000+ big giant piano?". The thing is not easy to carry around, it can only do one sound, and once your kids are bored with it the piano will just collect dust. With something like a workstation you can create pretty much anything. BearKeys here demonstrates a neat orchestra tune using his very portable Roland Fantom X. Maybe new music playing styles has been obscured by the the classical instruments, but that is changing with greater exposure from popular websites like Youtube.
